Phoebe, Uranus'le Gaia'nin çocukları olan Titanlardandır. Geleneksel olarak ayla ilişkilendirilen Phoebe, Apollo ve Artemis'in anneannesidir. Koios'tan Leto ve Asteria'yı doğurmuştur. Çok güçlü bir kahindir Delphi tapınağı ona aittir fakat torunu Apollona doğum gününde hediye olarakdevir etmiştir.
